Hualien County is home to several world-class scenic attractions.

As Taiwan’s biggest county, Hualien occupy an area of about 4,600 square kilometers and a population of 350,000. It faces to the Pacific Ocean on the east coast and is hemmed in by the Central Range to the west.
Hualien is famous for its towering peaks, azure skies, vast seas, scenic valleys and cultural diversity, and nowadays it has become one of the first-choice travel destinations in Taiwan for both local and international visitors.

Visitors must not miss the impressive gorges at Taroko National Park, the magnificence of Yushan National Park, and the stunning natural landscapes of the East Coast National Scenic Area.

台灣花蓮有兩個地方大面積種植金針花，分別是富里鄉的六十石山及玉里鄉的赤科山，每年8月及9月是金針花季，漫山遍野金黃一片，就像鋪上一大塊金色地毯，甚為壯觀，賞花者絡繹不絕，登山車輛只能單向行駛。

金針花好多名字，萱草、忘憂草、黃花草等等，這種花好抵死，只靚一日，太陽升起後盛開，太陽一下山便謝，花農採摘的金針，就是未開花前的花蕾。
