“Luang” is meaning “large” in local dialect, and hence Wat Chedi Luang temple is also know as the home to Chiang Mai’s largest Buddhist chedi built featuring 98 meters tall and 54 meters in diameter. The ordination hall located in the front is a symbol of beautiful Lanna architecture.
